That and the fact that scents smell different on different people depending on their skins pH and their overall body chemistry. I think a lot of the time we just don't notice certain scents on our own selves because we've become in a sense used to or immune to smelling them, so that part of our conscious awareness is getting used on focusing on other things, then some smelly good person walks by and we're like "whoa you smell good." That person probably doesn't recognize it on themselves either, but they'll try to come up with an explanation on how they came to smell so good. But, this should be purely based on your preference. My personal favorite is the Downy Unstoppable's in Shimmer scent. Again smell them all and see which ones you like best. Then get laundry scent beads and add a cap full into the wash with the detergent. But smell them all while at the store and see which one you like best. My favorite right now is the Cool Cotton scent. Get a downy softener that you love the smell of. The only detergent that can do this that I'm aware of, so keep using that. Persil is the sh*t!
